African Women's Football teams gear up for Olympics Qualifiers.

The draw for the qualifiers of the Women's Olympic Football tournament is set to take place in Cairo, Egypt on 30th May 2023.

The journey to the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France for women's football in Africa will officially begin with this event. The African qualifiers, set to kick off in July 2023, will follow a four-round spread over home and away matches, with two teams set to qualify for the Olympics. With Zambia's Copper Queens qualifying in 2020 (played in 2021 due to Covid-19), the upcoming qualifiers scheduled per the full schedule below will surely be action-packed.

Full schedule:
First Round: 10-18 July 2023
Second Round: 23-31 October 2023
Third Round: 19-28 February 2024
Fourth Round: 1-9 April 2024
Women's Olympic Final Tournament: 25 July - 10 August 2024

In a now-viral video, the 41-year-old, who is in Qatar as a World Cup legacy ambassador, was filmed attacking the Algerian who appeared to have verbally assaulted the former African Footballer of the Year.
