The Sun UK reporter Kealan Hughes has urged Arsenal to take a look at Chelsea product of Nigerian descent, Tammy Abraham as a possible replacement for the injured Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus faces several weeks on the sidelines after undergoing surgery following an injury he suffered while on international duty for Brazil against African side Cameroon at the ongoing World Cup.

Hughes has drawn up a shortlist of five strikers Arsenal could be forced into going for in the January transfer window, with AS Roma star Abraham finding his name on the list.

In a now-viral video, the 41-year-old, who is in Qatar as a World Cup legacy ambassador, was filmed attacking the Algerian who appeared to have verbally assaulted the former African Footballer of the Year.

Eto'o has been widely condemned for his action and the former Barcelona star in a statement issued on Tuesday also admitted he could have done better even in the face of provocation.

While apologising and taking responsibility for his action, Eto'o also enjoined the Algerian authorities to put an end to the bad blood their World Cup miss has generated.

Cameroon - Recent floods continue to disrupt livelihoods

The market town of Kousseri in the Far North Province of Cameroon, close to the border with Chad, has been struggling with major floods for a week.

Two regional rivers have their confluence here, the Logone and Chari, and both are seeing exceptionally high water levels that are predicted to rise further.

Sandbags were being used in an attempt to contain the rivers, but for many parts of Kousseri it was already too late.
